A summer job at a Connecticut restaurant piqued Chef Lawrance’s interest in preparing and serving fresh seasonal food.
In 1998 he graduated from the renowned Culinary Institute of America in Hyde Park, NY. His early experience included restaurants in Nantucket, Cape Cod and Long Island. After a time at John’s Island Club, he served as the chef at Avanzare. He is the former owner of the Smokehouse BBQ Grill.
Returning to his love of fine dining, he opened The Oar Restaurant in 2021.
